May 18, 2016· This sounds like the starter is not engaging the flywheel or the flywheel teeth are missing. I would try jumping the battery first to see if this makes a difference. If it does and the engine turns over okay then you may have a battery or cable that is bad and would need to be tested. If the noise is still there, then you may have a bad starter and have the flywheel checked for worn off teeth.

I scooted under the truck and watched, the grinder was going up and down on the rod journal, a real arm breaker if you got in the wrong place. Sort of a cheap short term fix.

Nov 24, 2009· I know that offset grinding a 460 crank from a 3.85 stroke to a 4.15 inch stroke is a popular done modification using 2.2 inch big end rods. There is an issue that I have a question about. Going to a 3.85 inch stroke to a 4.15 inch stoke is 300 thousands. So you will need to offset grind 300.
